From Dieting to Weight Loss
Dieting involves strictly following the right portion and the right kinds of food to be eaten each meal.
One popular diet today is the low-carb diet such as the Atkins diet. Fat results from having too much blood sugar in the body, which the insulin drives into the cells to be stored as fat, thus the person gains weight. Although controversial, this condition is said to be avoided when the person will follow a low-carb diet.
There is some truth to this diet, however, because when the body is deprived of carbohydrates it burns glycogen, further decreases appetite, creates the feeling of fullness, and reduces calories.
